A Sad Day in the Life of Publishing

A week or so ago, the American Fork Arts Council Press closed its doors forever. This was a sad day for me and I'm sure, all those who worked for or who were published by the Press.

I won't go into details but the tragedy is that it shouldn't have happened. Sadly, many people will be affected by this decision since it means no more writing conferences, classes at American Fork's old city hall, or hard cover books from the Press.

The decision wasn't mine to make but I understand why it happened and how... Let's just leave it at that.

The good news--as there is always a silver lining of sorts-- is that Summer will live again. This next book if not traditionally published by another publisher, will be published as an ebook and probably sooner than the original October release date. And lest all you e'reader-less readers out there, Creatspace (a strange side business created because of electronic readers) will allow the reader to buy hard copy paperbacks for less than the original price of my other books. How cool is that?

So, yes, fans. Summer will return stronger than ever. Happier than ever and cheaper than ever.

See, I told you there was silver at the bottom of the bad news.

Summer is Enjoying New Fame

Summer is enjoying new fame as an e'book. If you have a Kindle or a Nook... check out Summer's adventures and her new sidekick, Taya: Daughter of Jacob. I wrote that book many years ago and thanks to my friend and e'book formatter, Roseanne, it is now published. It's a Young Adult Book of Mormon adventure. Takes place around the Kingmen / Freeman time. Taya (pronounced Tay like Kay then a yah on the end) falls in love with a Kingman... All sorts of problems occur. But, have you ever wondered how Captain Moroni received the message that Pahoran needed help... Well, wonder no more. Read Taya: Daughter of Jacob and discover the truth.
